St Helena - A labour of Love
Hello! I’m Kerry. My husband Paul and I are the owners of St Helena, and we will be your
hosts at St Helena River Retreat.
We bought our beautiful farm in May 2015. We were drawn to the natural beauty of the
landscape, with its rolling hills and crystal-clear river, as well as the history that was held
within the old buildings, orchards, and timber cattle yards seated beneath the magnificent old trees. We were filled with visions of picnics, and swimming and a hope that it would become a place to gather with family and friends.

St Helena has given us all those things, however with over 100 years of history and parts of the farm falling further into disrepair, our vision extended to become one of preservation, to honour, in part, the story of the families that laboured here before us.
Preservation, however, turned into restoration, restoration evolved into renovation. It became a labour of love to bring two old farm buildings back to life so others can come and experience the beauty that surrounds us here.
I hope with all my heart that our little place on the Allyn River does bring a time of peace and happiness to those who choose to stay with us at St Helena. We are excited to share our cherished farm with you!
